Service Technician – Dental Equipment

Have you completed your apprenticeship or a similar qualification in the range of electrical engineering? We are currently searching for an individual who will join our service team for state-of-the-art dental equipment.

Dental Axess is head quartered in North Ryde providing digital dentistry solutions in Australia and New Zealand. This important position will provide technical service support to Dental Axess’s customers while helping to maintain Dental Axess as the industry standard for technical service and contributing strongly to overall customer satisfaction. This position will be based in North Ryde however, will require onsite customer visits interstate and New Zealand.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Phone based support and field visits as required
  • Repairs and servicing of dental lasers, CNC milling machines and 3D printers
  • Installation and maintenance of equipment at customers’ premises
  • Conduct training on hardware and software and provide professional theoretical and practical training
  • Handling warranty issues and maintaining emergency parts stock
  • Responsible for maintaining training and demo equipment
  • Documenting customer information and service requirements using centralised CRM
  • Support customer demonstrations and presentations as required


  • Proven experience as a service technician and ability to perform on-site installations and repairs
  • Degree or Certification in a technical field; electrical engineering, mechanics or equivalent
  • Knowledge of CNC hardware and operation
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and evaluate process problems both in the field and on the phone
  • User experience with Microsoft Windows applications
  • Experience in customer service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort in clinical and production environments
  • Ability to plan customer visits and follow up
  • Prepared to travel and work independently
  • Valid driver’s license


  • Knowledge about dental CNC machines and/or dental lasers an advantage
  • Operation of CAD/CAM software
